This page will contain information about my upcoming public art classes. Public Art Classes may be at different locations throughout Ashtabula County & Northeast Ohio so please look at the class descriptions to see locations and registration information.
Some classes are for children and some classes are adult only, or are offered for both children and adults. Parents/Guardians are always welcome to stay during kids classes.
A few notes on registering for public classes:
Please make note of the location & time of the class you wish to attend. I offer classes at multiple different locations throughout Northeast Ohio and each location has different registration guidelines.
Please note that I DO NOT handle registration for ANY of my classes. Messaging/emailing/commenting to me specifically does NOT count as registering for a class, you must register as directed in the specific class descriptions through the venues that classes are offered at.
Please do not wait until last minute to sign up for classes you wish to take. Seating is generally limited in most classes. Also, if there is not enough sign ups to conduct a class within a few days of the class beginning, the class is usually cancelled or postponed.
Walk ins are generally not permitted in my classes unless specified. If you are not registered for class prior to the day of class, there will not be an open seat set up for you. I only set up for the number of registered participants. You will most likely not be able to participate UNLESS open seats are available due to no-shows AND I have enough supplies.
If you register for a class that you cannot attend or no longer wish to take, please contact the venue of where the class is being hosted for a refund. Each venue has different policies on timelines for refunds. If you register for a class and do not show up without attempting to contact the venue either via phone call, voicemail, email, social media, etc., you WILL NOT receive a refund for the class.
***Van Gogh Inspired Lighthouse Painting Workshop***
Join Chris Davis for this two part Acrylic Painting workshop. In this class, Chris Davis will be demonstrating techniques to create this Conneaut Lighthouse artwork inspired by Vincent Van Gogh’s famous “Starry Night” painting. During the first session, Chris Davis will walk participants through the steps to create his interpretation of the famous “Starry Night” sky and background. For the second session, Chris Davis will guide participants through the steps of drawing and painting the lighthouse onto their Starry Night paintings. All supplies will be provided, including participants choice of 11x14 canvas or slate.

Join The Bakery on Main in Ashtabula, Ohio for an afternoon of painting! Instructor Chris Davis will guide participants step by step through this Spring themed rain boots and flowers painting. The painting is customizable so each participant can use their choice of colors for the background, boots, and flowers. This is a beginner friendly class and no prior experience is required. All supplies for the class are provided, including 8x10 canvas. Participants will also have the opportunity to purchase bakery items from the special menu!

Join us at Leon UMC for a fun and creative Lunch & Paint Fundraiser. Instructor Chris Davis will guide participants step by step through this painting! Enjoy a delicious meal and create your own beautiful painting while supporting a great cause. No experience needed, Chris Davis will guide you step by step and provide additional assistance if needed! Gather your friends and family for an afternoon of fellowship, food, and fun.

***BLESSED BY LEX PAINT PARTY FUNDRAISER ***
Join 2 Tees in a Pod and Lexi’s family for our second Fundraiser to support “Blessed by Lex”. Instructor Chris Davis will be guiding participants through this playful painting step by step! Participants will be able to customize their paintings to their liking, using whatever colors they want for the background, as well as customize the number of cats/butterflies and customize what their silhouettes look like. Join Nurk Wurk for our first Fundraiser to promote suicide prevention, grief relief, and bereavement in Ashtabula County. Instructor Chris Davis will be guiding participants through their own bunny and eggs painting step by step! Participants will be able to customize their paintings to their liking, using whatever colors they want for the entire thing. All supplies for the painting are provided, including 11x14 canvas. Participants may bring snacks, drinks, alcoholic beverages, etc. Dips are included.

Join Beebe’s Bistro for an afternoon of painting, food, and drinks! Instructor Chris Davis will guide participants step by step through this highland cow painting. The painting is customizable so each participant can use their choice of colors and may modify their painting to their liking. This is a beginner friendly class and no prior experience is required. All supplies for the class are provided, including 11x14 canvas. Also included: a specialty drink, charcuterie plate to share, and a tipsy taco bar!
Date: Saturday April 19, 2025 at 3:00pm and will end between 5:00-6:00pm

Join Paradise Bay in Roaming Shores, Ohio for an evening of painting and drinks! Instructor Chris Davis will guide participants step by step through this lakefront painting. Participants may use whatever colors they’d like and arrange their composition however they’d like. This is a beginner friendly class and no prior experience is required. All supplies for the class are provided, including 8x10 canvas, as well as a drink! Additional drinks and food may also be purchased to be enjoyed during class!

***MAILBOX PAINT PARTY AT MARGARITA KING***
I’m very excited for our second paint class at Margarita King in Geneva, OH! Join me for this fun spring themed mailbox painting step by step! Participants may customize their mailbox to their liking and use whatever colors they’d like for the entire painting. All supplies for the painting are provided, including participant’s choice of 8x10 canvas or round wooden door hanger!
A Taco Bar is also included as well as participants choice of a Margarita or glass of wine (or soft drink)!
Date: Class is Wednesday, April 30, 2025 starting at 5pm and will end around 8pm

***NORTHERN LIGHTS PAINTING WORKSHOP***
Join Chris Davis for this two part acrylic painting workshop. In this class, Chris Davis will be demonstrating how to create a painting of the northern lights above the historic Conneaut, OH Lighthouse. During the first session, Chris Davis will walk participants through the techniques to paint a colorful Northern Lights nighttime sky. For the second session, Chris Davis will guide participants through the process of drawing and painting the Conneaut Lighthouse on their canvas. All supplies for the entire class will be provided, including participants choice of 11x14 Canvas or a large piece of slate. However, participants may bring their own larger canvas to use if they wish. This is a beginner friendly workshop and no prior experience is required.

***BEGINNER COLOR THEORY WITH ACRYLIC PAINT***
Join Chris Davis for this two session acrylic painting course. This course is designed for adults and teenagers. Students will create their own colorful painting using primary colors plus black & white to create a full spectrum color wheel. Participants may create color wheel art of whatever picture they want (turtle image is just an example, participants do not have to paint the turtle). There will be a basic drawing component of this course. Topics that will be outlined in this course are: Primarily Colors and Secondary Colors with discussion of Complimentary Colors and Warm/Cool Colors and how using these color combinations within painting can achieve different effects. This course will also demonstrate acrylic painting techniques such as color mixing, blending, layering, washes, and dry brushing to achieve different results and textures. All supplies for the entire class will be provided, including 11x14 Canvas. This is a beginner friendly course and no prior experience is required.
