Pet & Animal Portraits
All photos in this album were commissioned custom paintings and are not available for purchase or reproduction. All paintings in this album were done with Acrylic Paint. Order of Paintings: Realism, Minimalistic, Mini Paintings, Paintings on Slate, and Other. My Pet/Animal Paintings are generally headshot paintings, but full body paintings can also be done as long as reference images allow for it. Multiple photos of individual pets/animals can also be combined for a paintings so the Pets/Animals appear to be together.
Realism
My Realism style aims to be an accurate depiction of the pet by showing details within the fur patterns and textures. These tend to have more subtle color palettes and more detail. However, my realism style is still "painterly" and not photorealistic.Â
Minimalistic
My Minimalistic Pet Portrait style is a less detailed version of the pet. This style takes more of an illustrative approach to the painting and uses more bold colors and stronger linework, while still aiming to achieve a proper likeness of the specific pet.
Mini Canvas Paintings (3x3)
These are paintings done with my tiniest brushes. It is difficult to capture much detail in a painting this small, but they make for great desk décor, Christmas ornaments, etc. These are all on 3x3 canvases.
Paintings on Slate
I was donated a batch of slate ranging from 4x4 and up so I did a little special on mini slate paintings! Most of these are 4x4 or 5x5.
Other
Occasionally I get requests to do paintings on various other objects like sap buckets, ornaments, or puzzles!
