Welcome!

I'm Chris Davis, a 28 year old Fine Artist & Art Instructor located in Ashtabula County, Ohio.  My artwork ranges from realism styles such as portrait work and landscapes to styles such as surrealism, impressionism, cubism, and abstract. I primarily work with Acrylic Paints but also dabble in Oil Paints and other mixed medias. So far I have sold Artwork to clients in all 50 states as well as Canada and Mexico.

I have been instructing Art Classes throughout Northeast Ohio since 2014 and am the current Art Director and Art Teacher for After School Discovery, teaching within  the Ashtabula Area City Schools district. I am also the Director of Visual Arts and Instructor for the Conneaut Arts Center, where I served on the Board of Directors for five years and held the title of President of the Board for three consecutive terms; 2019, 2020, and 2021. I have been instructing paint classes for local Relay for Life teams to fundraise for the American Cancer Society since 2016, and have led Paint Party fundraisers for numerous other charities as well. To date, I have taught over 970 Art Classes, Courses, Workshops, Paint Parties, and Lectures.

Along with my career as an Art Teacher, I have also been involved with a variety of other artistic projects within the local community. I was the Art Director for the Musical at Edgewood High School in 2020 and worked as the Assistant Art Director for six years prior to that, painting backdrops and stage pieces for the performances. I have also held local Gallery shows exhibiting my artwork and oftentimes I participate in local events for the arts, such as "Art in the Alley" and "The Arts on Bridge Street".

Check out this 2020 video of Kingsville Library's interview with me regarding my life as an Artist and Art Instructor! We discussed how I began my art journey and my inspirations. We also talked about how myself and my art have adapted over time.
